#08 How to lead your start-up to success with workation and responsible scaling

Christian Underwood in conversation with Johannes Hoyos, co-founder of The Workation Village and scale-up coach.

In this episode, we talk to Johannes Hoyos about the fine art of scalable start-up growth, how a beautiful environment affects company performance and how to provide security in situations of major change. Start-ups in growth are under massive pressure. Young people often find themselves in a structure that offers little security. There are no clear roles, hardly any communication rhythms and many strategic uncertainties. At the same time, the coronavirus pandemic is making collaboration more difficult, as remote communication makes it harder to create a good sense of community. Johannes helps start-ups to scale responsibly and recently founded the Workation Village in northern Italy. He believes that when people come together in nature and spend valuable moments together, it not only strengthens team spirit, but also improves the quality of decisions in the long term. In the new episode of HIKS "Scale me up", he tells us how workation can make our economic system more sustainable, why shared values are important for a start-up and how intuitive approaches can be translated into a structure.
